Dressage Clinic with Jean-Luc Cornille The future of dressage in America. Horse bio-mechanics combined with the best of French and German techniques elevates dressage training to the same standards of the most sophisticated sport. Understanding the physical effort each movement imposes on the horse allows the rider to prepare the horseÕs body for the movement rather than repeat the movement to educate the body. On the last decade, this concept has been responsible for tremendous advancement of training programs for human athletes. Come explore this approach with Jean-Luc Cornille. Jean-Luc Cornille, Maitre of the Cadre Noir, is an FEI level dressage trainer, instructor, and international competitor. He studied at the French Ecole National d'Equitation at Saumur for seven years. He then worked in Germany with Rehbein and Schultiss and also trained with Hans Winkler. Jean-Luc has trained many horses of various breeds through Grand Prix level and has distinction of competing on both French Dressage and Three Day Event Teams. Jean-Luc takes pleasure in working with horses and riders at all levels at clinics and at his training facility in Orange, Va. He is as comfortable teaching a non-competing "pre" training level rider as he is riding piaffe and pirouette in the show ring. Combined the French and German approaches, Jean-Luc is a unique clinician because if his knowledge of the bio-mechanics and physiology of movement. His techniques are simple, useful, and logical. He identifies specific needs of the horse-rider team, and by the end of the hour had produced results which are clearly felt and observed.
